Matt Hancock had a blast at the Brit Awards this week as the former health secretary was seen dancing the night away and kissing his girlfriend at the awards.

The former cabinet minister attended the star-studded music ceremony at London’s O2 Arena on Tuesday where the likes of Adele, Ed Sheeran and Liam Gallagher performed.

In photos obtained by The Sun, Mr Hancock, 43, was seen with his girlfriend Gina Coladangelo chatting to a couple of friends and smiling away in the VIP section, where tickets cost as much as £2,000.

According to one source, the former minister had an absolute blast at the event, revealing: ‘He was drinking wine from a plastic cup, and dancing – well, wriggling his hips – as Ed Sheeran and Adele performed.

‘Matt and Gina were kissing quite a bit, and are clearly pretty smitten with one another.’

The insider described the whole display as ‘extraordinary’ and said Mr Hancock was mobbed by fans requesting selfies, and some who mockingly offered ‘wine and cheese’ in reference to the infamous Downing Street parties.

Since leaving Westminster, Mr Hancock’s lifestyle has appeared ever so relaxed with the politician seen enjoying a frosty dip in Hyde Park’s Serpentine lake in January.

In December, he hit the red carpet at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball where he bopped to songs from the pop-heavy line-up.

He was forced to resign from his role as health secretary in June after leaked footage showed him kissing his then-employee, Ms Coladangelo, in his office. At the time, he had been married to wife Martha Hancock since 2006.

In December, Mr Hancock gave his first TV interview about the scandal and explained why it took him 24 hours to resign, saying: ‘As you can imagine, the first thing I focused on was my personal life, and then when I focused on my professional responsibilities I decided I had to resign.’

When asked if he was trying to get back into Government, Mr Hancock said: ‘I’m not in any hurry, I think being on the backbenches… I’m enjoying it but also it’s a very important job and contributions from people who have been there in the heat of battle… if I can make that sort of contribution then I’m enjoying doing that.’

The Brit Awards 2022 is available to watch on ITV Hub.
