The new OnePlus Buds Z2 is priced a bit higher than its predecessor but the company claims they offer better sound quality and higher battery life. OnePlus Buds Z2 and OnePlus Buds Z look identical. The design change that sets them apart is the length of the drivers. The OnePlus Buds Z2 features 11mm drivers, while the OnePlus Buds Z features 10mm drivers. It is worth noting that OnePlus Buds Pro also features 11mm drivers with Dolby Atmos support just like the OnePlus Buds Z2.
The OnePlus Buds Z2 earbuds are launched in two colour options – Obsidian Black and Pearl White colour options and on the other hand OnePlus Buds Z come in White and Gray colour options.

Although both the affordable TWS earbuds from OnePlus look similar, one feature that sets them apart instantly is the active noise cancellation. The OnePlus Buds Z2 features active noise cancellation (ANC) which makes it OnePlus’ most affordable wireless earbuds with ANC. The top-of-the-line OnePlus Buds Pro also comes with ANC.
Another difference between the OnePlus Buds Z2 and the One Plus Buds Z is the pairing mobile app. To personalise the settings, the OnePlus Buds Z are paired with the OnePlus Buds app. On the other hand, the OnePlus Buds Z2 is connected with the HeyMelody app which is also used for Oppo TWS earbuds.

The case is claimed to offer quick charging that can provide up to 5 hours playback in 10 minutes. OnePlus claims that that earbuds can deliver up to 38 hours of playback time.
The OnePlus Buds Z falls behind a bit when it comes to battery life. The changing case of the earbuds features a 450mAh battery. The case is claimed to offer 3 hours of playback with 10 minutes of charging. These earbuds are claimed to deliver up to 20 hours of playback times.
