Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden reunite with Emmerdale co-stars amid backstage ‘row’
Emmerdale actors Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden reunited with some of their fellow soap stars to see in the New Year. The couple, who married in 2018, were joined by Emma Atkins, who plays Charity Dingle, Jeff Hordley who plays Cain, his wife Zoe Henry, who plays Rhona, and Chas actress Lucy Pargeter.
Charley, who played Debbie Dingle in the iconic soap for almost 20 years, shared a series of photographs with her on-screen family as they rang in 2022.
In view of her 548,000 Instagram followers, she beamed as she posed with her castmates on a sofa with drinks in hand.
She also shared a selfie with her onscreen mum Emma, who looked glamorous in a black lace dress.
She wrote: “My New Year’s Eve crew. Best night with some of my favouritests.”(sic)

Last month it was reported that Charley, who has played Debbie since she was a teenager, won’t be returning to the show.
A source told The Sun: “Charley is closing the door on Emmerdale for good and won’t be going back.
“The past few months have given her time to think about the future and it is one that doesn’t involve Emmerdale.
“Charley has been on Emmerdale for 19 years and her character Debbie has had a rollercoaster ride. It’s time for a new adventure for Charley.
As a result, Matthew and Isabel, who both deny the allegations, were temporarily written out of the show while investigations take place.
Show writers swiftly came up with a storyline that saw the on-screen couple leave the village for a holiday.
The stars are yet to return to the Dales, but Emmerdale bosses have stressed that neither actor has been suspended.
Charley and husband Matthew share three children together: two-year-old Ace, five-year-old Bowie and Buster, 11.
They have shared a series of sweet updates with fans over the Christmas period, including a montage of the children enjoying the festivities.
She captioned the post: “Christmas 2021 Thank you for everything this year, you guys are my favourite Instagram team. I love sharing things with you guys and all our little chats.
“I hope you all had the loveliest day and I’m thinking of everyone that may have had a harder day yesterday. Love you all lots.”
