Bungie Announces Changes for Destiny 2 Armour Synthesis
Bungie introduced a transmog system for Destiny 2 in Season of the Splicer, which is called Armour Synthesis. The new system wasn’t received well by players as it required way too much grind to earn 3 different currencies to unlock one armour piece cosmetic.
In its latest blog post, Bungie has addressed feedback about Destiny 2’s Armour Synthesis and announced some changes coming next season. The game will remove the Synthstrand currency, which has a really low drop rate. Instead, players will be able to purchase Armour Synthesis bounties from Ada-1 using 10,000 Glimmer.
Next week’s Nightfall Strikes will feature double rewards and weapons such as Palindrome Legendary handcannon, Shadow Price Legendary auto rifle, and The Swarm Legendary machine gun. Bungie will also change the Nightfall weapon rotation from season 15. Next season onwards, Nightfall Strikes featured weapon rotation will include one new weapon and one older weapon every week. Some of the new weapons coming next season are The Comedian shotgun and The Hothead rocket launcher.
Bungie is expected to reveal the next expansion, Witch Queen, during Destiny 2 Showcase scheduled for August 24. The Witch Queen expansion was supposed to release later this year, but it was delayed to 2022. Bungie may also share more details about Destiny 2 cross-play at the showcase. After cross-play was introduced accidentally months ahead of schedule, Bungie disabled it and added an official limited-time beta in May. The cross-play beta allowed players from PlayStation, Xbox, and PC to play strikes together.
