‘They look like girls’ Mother has £500 of pink clothes for triplet sons after gender error
Gina and Craig Dewdney were delighted when they became pregnant but it wasn’t an easy journey for Gina.
The couple were informed that they were having identical twin girls and one boy three weeks after.
Gina said: “I was excited to have the best of both worlds.”
Doctors advised Gina to have weekly scans as “as triplets is a high-risk pregnancy”.
The couple were pondering over girl name and even spent over £500 on pink feminine clothing.

Gina said: “I purchased bags of girls clothes and accessories such as girly bibs and dummies.”
The Dewdney’s were finally told the correct gender 24 scans later.
Gina was five and a half months of pregnant when she discovered that they were having three identical boys well. She admitted that she felt “devastated” as she had bonded with “the girls”.
Craig added: “I thought they looked like girls too.”
Their sons, Jimmy, Jenson and Jaxson, were delivered in one minute and 52 seconds.
Gina said: “The babies were born at the exact same time which is very unusual for triplets.”
The triplets are almost six months old and The Dewdney’s “couldn’t imagine having the girls now – it is so special having identical boys”.
They may be more than a handful, but the couple are enjoying getting to know their new additions to the family.
Gina said: “I find it amazing that they’ve got massively different personalities already. Jimmy is the joker, Jenson is dramatic and a Jaxson is completely chilled and just sits and watches the other two.”
The babies go through a tub of formula every 48 hours, around 24 bottles and 30 nappies a day.
Despite all this, they haven’t given up on their hopes of a daughter, Gina said: “I wouldn’t rule out trying for a girl in the future”.
