Fantasy Injury Updates: Latest news on Darren Waller, T.J. Hockenson, Evan Engram affecting Week 7 start ’em, sit ’em decisions
Tight end has been a frustrating position all year, and in a week with six byes and a couple key guys out because of injury, the last thing fantasy football owners need is game-time decisions — especially when they’re studs like Darren Waller and T.J. Hockenson. The fact these “questionable” TEs play in late-afternoon games will make Week 7 start ’em, sit ’em decisions all the more difficult. Fortunately, we’re here to help with the latest injury updates throughout the day on Sunday.

WEEK 7 FANTASY: Sleepers | Busts | Start ’em, sit ’em
Is Darren Waller playing Week 7?
Waller (knee, ankle) was a late add to the injury report on Saturday. It was a surprise after he practiced in full on Thursday and got in a limited session on Friday, but obviously this is a situation fantasy owners will need to watch closely.
Waller is obviously a must-start if he’s active against the Eagles, but because Vegas plays a late-afternoon game, there won’t be many streamer options if he can’t go. Cole Kmet (@ Bucs) and O.J. Howard (vs. Bears) are two widely available options who are in decent situations, and you could also try your luck with Ross Dwelley (vs. Colts) or Gerald Everett (vs. Saints). Foster Moreau will replace Waller in the Raiders lineup, but he’s tough to trust.

Is T.J. Hockenson playing in Week 7?
Hockenson (knee) continues to be “questionable,” but once again, there doesn’t seem to be any real concern about his availability for Sunday’s late-afternoon game against the Rams.
It’s been a bit of a slow burn for Hockenson after a hot start, but he should see plenty of targets in a game in which the Lions figure to pass often. He remains a must-start if active. If he is a surprise scratch, Darren Fells will start, but you’re better off subbing in one of the TEs mentioned above in the Waller section.

Is Evan Engram playing in Week 7?
Engram (calf) missed practice on Thursday and got in a limited session on Friday, so it looks like he’ll be a true game-time decision for New York’s game against the Panthers.

Normally, we wouldn’t mention Engram, but with a bunch of byes and a few key injuries, some owners might be thinking of streaming him. If he’s active, he should see a decent amount of targets, so start him if you need him. If he’s out, you can opt for a number of streamers, including the guys mentioned above. Some early-game options include C.J. Uzomah (@ Ravens) and Ricky Seals-Jones (@ Packers).
