Drivers are just realising they can remove dashboard scratches with 4p B&M item
DRIVERS are just realising they can remove dashboard scratches with a 4p B&M product they already have in their cupboards.
Expert Bob Vila revealed how you can use baking soda to get rid of the scratches.
First clean the area of the dashboard around the scratch with a mix of warm water and a few drops of dish soap.
Then make a thick paste from equal parts of water and baking soda – before applying it to the scratch with a dry cloth.
Wash away the baking soda with more water before checking whether the scratch has disappeared.
If it is still there, repeat for up to ten minutes until you have successfully removed it.
You can pick up a 200g tub of Dr Oetker baking soda for just £1.39 from B&M.
The teaspoon of baking soda you need for the trick will be about 6g – which works out as about 4p per go.
Another cleaning expert said you can also use baking soda to get rid of gross yellow stains on your pillows.
The yellow stains come from sweat seeping through the pillowcase onto the pillow beneath.
Other potential culprits behind the stains include greasy or wet hair, makeup and drool.
The expert said: “You can start off by spot treating the stains with either a store-bought stain removal spray or cream or with a paste made out of a mixture of baking soda and water.”
It comes after a lingerie expert revealed how many times you can wear your bra without washing it – and it’s less than you’d think.
