Lorry driver pushes car OFF motorway… but viewers are divided on who to blame
THIS is the heart-stopping moment a lorry driver pushes a car into a hard shoulder by cutting lanes.
The hair-raising dashcam footage showed the motorist quickly pull off the carriageway as the lorry inched closer and closer to it.
The clip was uploaded to TikTok, captioned “thank god for the hard shoulder” as the car avoided a smash.
In the video, the car can be seen merging from the left lane as the carriageway turns from three lanes to two.
But, the lorry appears to not spot the car making the move, and starts to indicate into the middle lane, too.
Luckily the car sees what’s happening, and starts to pull onto the hard shoulder – letting the lorry pass – before pulling back into the lane.

But opinions were divided in the comment section while social media users tried to work out who to blame for the near miss.
Some were quick to point the finger at the lorry driver, while others said the car went into its “blind spot”.
Defending the car driver, one person wrote: “That lorry driver needs to pay more attention. He knew there was a slip-road there.”
Another commented: “I feel like the lorry driver could have seen the car if he looked out the window.”
One other said: “Everybody blaming the car for blind spots… Fun idea maybe the truck should get better gear to see them.”
But others said the car was at fault.
One wrote: “Blind spots are real. Always be aware of the wagon’s blind spot.
“The driver just couldn’t see him there.”
Another said: “Blind spot, car should have dropped back after coming out then would have been seen in mirrors.”
One other wrote: “Merging into his blind spot.”
It’s not uncommon for opinions to be split when it comes to Brits’ driving.
One driver saw other motorists rush to the comments after using grit bins to clear his neighbour’s drive.
Prior to that, another man sparked controversy after he filmed himself scooping grit out of council bin.

More recently a motorhome owner divided opinion over their “selfish” parking at a supermarket.
Elsewhere, another driver sparked fury with their “controversial” parking tactic outside a shopping centre.
