If you were a Jacqueline Wilson fan growing up, this property will send you on a trip down memory lane.

Up for rent at £3,000 per month, the two-bedroom flat is situated within the exact building that served as the ‘Dumping Ground’ in The Story of Tracy Beaker.

The first series of the CBBC show – which ran from 2002 to 2005 – was filmed in Amherst Lodge, a former maternity and children’s home near Ealing Broadway.

Although production later moved to Cardiff when the local council sold the property, the London location featured in 26 episodes of the book adaptation.

Known on screen as Elm Tree House, it was where we first met loveable tearaway Tracy, played by Dani Harmer, along with characters like social worker Elaine the Pain, chef Duke, and longstanding nemesis Justine Littlewood.

You may recognise the iconic circular bedroom window Tracy looked out of, dreaming up tales of her mum’s Hollywood acting career, or the white front porch where the rebellious 10-year-old returned after bust-ups with foster parent, Cam.

The place certainly looks different inside nowadays; its colourful, child-friendly decor has been replaced with a neutral palette more suitable for renters.

But if those walls could talk, they’d have a lot to say.

Marketing agents Atlas make no mention of the home’s Beaker connection, which was spotted by eagle-eyed fans online.

Its listing reads: ‘This two bedroom apartment compromises ample of build in storage in both bedrooms and hallway.

‘The kitchen provides integrated appliances with lots of storage and workspace whilst separate is a large bright living room.’

The gated development’s secure parking space and central location (less than half a mile from West Ealing station) are also highlighted.

‘Communal gardens reside in the middle courtyard,’ continues the listing.

This outdoor space is available for all tenants to use – the very spot where Dumping Ground residents held a birthday party for Tracy and played basketball with a wall-mounted hoop.

The flat has one bathroom, which has been updated with modern tiling and clean white fixtures, featuring a bath and shower, sink, toilet, heated towel rail and even a bidet.

According to home.co.uk, its rental price of £3,000 per month sits slightly above the area’s average of £2,618 per month for a two-bedroom.

However, it’s a real piece of pop culture history, and offers a hit of nostalgia for anyone looking to relive some of the show’s heartwarming (or chaotic) moments.
