Admissions for academic session 2023-24 to finish by July 25: High Edu to Universities – Times of India

Lucknow: State universities, including those run privately and other higher education institutes, will have to complete their admission process for new students, both undergraduate and postgraduate till July 24. As per the academic calendar 2023-24 announced by the department of higher education, a one-week student induction programme (SIP) will begin on July 25.
In a government order on Monday, principal secretary, higher education MP Agarwal stated the classes for the first semester will also commence from July 25. The SIP can be held before or after the classes as per the timetable set by higher education institutions.
As per 90 days, teaching for the semester should finish by November 2 and the practical examinations should be over by November 10. Theoretical exams should begin on November 11 and finish by December 20. Winter break will begin on December 21 and will conclude by January 5, 2024. The results will be announced by January 10, 2024.
For the odd semester students (III and V) the session will begin on Tuesday, and the teaching process will end by November 2. Remaining will be similar to first-year students. For even-semester students (second, fourth, and sixth), teaching will begin on January 6 and conclude by April 15. Practical examinations to finish by April 20. Theoretical examinations are to begin on April 21 and to finish by May 30. Results to be declared by June 25. Summer break begins on June 1 and ends on June 30.
