FIFA Announces an Official Free-To-Play Trivia Game Ahead of Women’s World Cup
FIFA, the top football governing body, has announced a new officially licensed video game called Matchday Challenge, just in time for the Women’s World Cup. This free-to-play trivia title offers an exciting gaming experience.
Matchday Challenge
Matchday Challenge is an online trivia game built to promote the upcoming Women’s World Cup in the summer. The game aims to increase awareness about women’s football through general questions and educate players about its history.
Those interested can check out the game by clicking here. The game features a timer that starts when you begin playing, and each correct answer scores a goal. Players can earn virtual football collectible cards for answering correctly. To view the cards, players will need to sign up.
There is another mode where players can predict the outcome of upcoming World Cup matches. They have to state the winning team and the final scoreline of the matches. FIFA previously introduced Matchday in December of last year for the World Cup, and according to Matchday, the game had 600,000 players.
As EA prepares to unveil EA Sports FC today, FIFA continues its search for a AAA competitor to challenge EA’s dominant football game. FIFA announced that at the end of its deal with EA, it would introduce a rival game, stating that the best game carrying the “FIFA” brand would be the most authentic and available option for players.
