Dhadak is a 2018 romance film, directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The film is an official remake of the 2016 Marathi film Sairat.
The film stars Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles along with Ashutosh Rana, Ankit Bisht, Shridhar Watsar, Kshitij Kumar and Aishwarya Narkar in supporting roles.
The film revolves around the forbidden love between Madhu and Parthavi from different social statuses. In a bid to unite, they elope but Parthavi’s father and brother stay on their tail.
