Unlocking the skyview towers in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom can be a challenging task, but we’ve managed to figure out every last one of them.
The towers overlooking each region in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom have changed quite a bit from Breath Of The Wild, as you no longer have to climb up the outside of them but must find a way to get in through the door at the bottom and activate their console.
Besides be a useful way to shoot yourself into the sky, the skyview towers double as vantage points, enabling you to not only enjoy the scenery but also clear the fog from your map.
Some of these towers require puzzle-solving or repairs, and as the game doesn’t always provide clear instructions, it can be confusing to figure out what to do. Luckily, we have all the details sorted, so here’s where you can locate all 15 skyview towers and how to unlock each one.
Where to find skyview towers in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom
- Lookout Landing skyview tower
This is the first tower you activate as part of the story, so you can’t exactly miss it. It’s located at Lookout Landing near Hyrule Castle and it automatically unlocks during one of the game’s main quests, called Crisis At Hyrule Castle.
- Lindor’s Brow skyview tower
The Lindor’s Brow tower can be discovered on a hill encircled by water, northwest of Lookout Landing and near New Serenna Stable. To the south, near the water, there are wooden planks that can be joined using the Ultrahand ability to form a bridge. Position the bridge in the water, and you should be able to reach the base of the tower.
- Rospro Pass skyview tower
Located at the Hebra region and surrounded by spiky vines, the Rospro Pass tower sits atop a mountain. You can ascend the ladders at the mountain’s base and then climb the walls to reach the tower. If spiky vines obstruct your path, either climb around them or burn them with fire.
- Pikida Stonegrove skyview tower
The Pikida Stonegrove tower is on a snowy mountaintop in the northwest region of the map. If you have already visited Hebra Mountains, paragliding from there is the simplest option. However, if you approach from the bottom, use the Ultrahand ability to fix the broken wooden bridge hanging off the mountain and climb up.
- Thyphlo Ruins skyview tower
The Thyplo Ruins tower, situated in the northern region of the map, is surrounded by four floating platforms. From the wall behind the tower, jump on the floating platform closest to the ground. Add one or both rockets to the platform with the tip pointing up. Hit the rocket to raise the platform high above the tower.
Once you’re at the top, you’ll see one floating platform in is your way. Glide to the golden ring under it and use Ultrahand to move the platform from the tower roof. This triggers a cut scene, and once it’s over return to the ground and talk to the repairman in the tower, who will offer to fix the console. At last, interact with it to activate the tower.
- Eldin Canyon skyview tower
The Eldin Canyon tower is in the northeast of the map, in Eldin region, on a mountain. Talk to the gatekeeper at the tower who informs you that debris has blocked the door. Look east in the sky and locate the falling debris leaving a green trail. Go to where it landed and climb it, then use the Recall ability to raise it back up high in the sky. Glide from the debris to the top of the tower, drop through the roof opening, activate the switch, and the tower’s door will open.
- Ulri Mountain skyview tower
Located in the northeast region of the map, the Ulri Mountain tower is missing its console, which is being carried by a monster circling around it. Take down the monster by attaching a Keese Eyeball to an arrow and using it to shoot it down. Use Ultrahand to retrieve the console and place it in the tower. The repairman inside will automatically initiate a conversation with you and offer to fix it.
- Upland Zorana skyview tower
Located in the eastern region of the map in the Lanayru region on a mountain, the Upland Zorana tower can be reached by gliding from Eldin Canyon skyview tower for most of the way and then climbing some rock walls for the final stretch. However, upon arriving at the tower, you will find the gate blocked by a gooey substance. Fortunately, you can use splash fruit from the small trees surrounding the tower to melt away the goo. Place the fruit near the goo and then use a melee attack to release their water and dissolve it. Alternatively a Zonai hydrant will work.
- Hyrule Field skyview tower
The Hyrule Field tower is found south of Lookout Landing, on a hill surrounded by wooden spikes. There’s only one way up, by taking the wooden staircase east of the skyview tower. There are several formidable enemies on the path, but you can choose whether to fight or run away from them. Once you reach the gate, quickly activate the pedestal and launchpad before the enemies catch up to you, if you haven’t defeated them already.
- Sahasra Slope skyview tower
The Sahasra Slope tower is situated in the eastern edge of the map. When you arrive at the tower, a Rito informs you that the gate leading to the tower is shut. You must drop down and enter either of the caves beneath the tower.
Inside the cave, you will see numerous brown rocks that can be smashed with a hammer. Instead of digging straight ahead, you must dig towards the direction where the skyview tower icon is on the map.
Once you reach a room with three big white stones, use the Ascend ability to teleport through the ceiling and enter the tower. Use Ultrahand to remove the two sticks next to the sliding door, and then you can open the door. The repairman will offer to fix the console, allowing you to activate the tower. If you end up in a room with enemies, it means you went the wrong way and must dig in the opposite direction.
- Popla foothills skyview tower
To repair the broken console of the Popla Foothills tower in the south of the map, you need to first free the repairman from the cave located below the tower. Descend the cliffs to the south of the tower to reach the Popla Foothills excavation site.
Once you’re there stand on the floor plate at the locked gate to speak with the repairman, who will thank you for freeing him before disappearing. Return to the tower, either by climbing back up or using the Ascend ability to teleport through the cave ceiling. The repairman will be waiting beside the tower and offer to fix the console.
- Rabella Wetlands skyview tower
The Rabella Wetlands tower is situated in the southeast of the map and is enclosed by thorns that need to be set on fire. You can use fire fruit attached to your arrows or flint and wood to ignite them. However, the key is to first burn the thorns located under the roofs to prevent them from getting wet.
When you’re right in front of the tower, burn the thorns under the small roofs to gain entry into the courtyard. The tower door is also covered with thorns, and unfortunately, there is no roof over it. However, there are two building stations nearby that have a wealth of wooden planks.
Collect three of the largest ones and join them together to create one very long plank. Then, use the Ultrahand ability to position it over the tower entrance, stretching from one scaffold to the other. This will shield the area from the rain, and you can now burn the thorns.
- Mount Lanayru skyview tower
Located in the southeast of the map, the Mount Lanayru tower is accessible by following the road that spirals up the mountain. At the mountain’s summit lies the tower, but given that this region is cold, it’s recommended to carry cold-resistant meals like cooked spicy peppers. Unlike some other towers, the Mount Lanayru tower doesn’t require solving any puzzles, and can be easily entered and activated.
- Gerudo Canyon skyview tower
The Gerudo Canyon tower, located in the southwest of the map, requires repair as its console is broken. The repairman can be found on the elevator in front of the tower, down the cliff. He will instruct you to attach counterweights to the hook at the top of the elevator to raise it.
On the left side of the tower, there are square-shaped blocks that can be used for this purpose. Using Ultrahand, attach three blocks together and place them on the metal hook on the scaffolding in front of the tower. Hold and push the block far enough to ensure that they are heavy enough to raise the elevator. Once the elevator is raised, talk to the repairman again, and he will offer to fix the tower for you.
- Gerudo Highlands skyview tower
The Gerudo Highlands tower is located in the snowy southwest region, meaning it’s necessary to have meals that provide warmth, such as those made with spicy peppers. Upon arrival at the tower, you’ll find its entrance buried under the snow. From there, head north to locate the cave called Meadela’s Mantle Cave, just a few metres away.
Inside, you’ll come across a river; swim down the river until you reach the end. After going down a waterfall, you’ll see a wooden plank in the water. Use Ultrahand to place it horizontally at the wooden pillars in the water. Stand on the wooden plank, then use the Ascend ability to beam up into the tower. Once inside, interact with the tower’s console to activate it.
