You can get the wonderful Galaxy S22 for the price of a mid-ranger

If you are in the market for a new phone and your budget only allows for a mid-ranger, Samsung’s last year’s flagship, the Galaxy S22, is a jaw-dropping 41 percent off at the moment.

The 256GB Galaxy S22 sells for $849.99, which is a lot of money for a good many of us. And though mid-tier phones have gotten a lot better, they are undoubtedly not as premium as high-end phones. If you badly want a top-notch handset, Woot has discounted the 256GB Galaxy S22 by $352.

The Galaxy S22 has of course been succeeded by the Galaxy S23, but it’s not a huge improvement over the last year’s model. More importantly, the 256GB Galaxy S23 costs $860.

Unless you want to spend $362 more for slightly better performance, marginally bigger battery, and a somewhat better front-facing camera, you are better off with the Galaxy S22.

It has a 6.1 inches 120Hz screen and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which was the best chip available last year and is fast enough to handle whatever you may throw its way.

The Galaxy S22’s camera system is so good that it has been carried over to the Galaxy S23. Unlike Google and Apple’s base flagship models, it also has a telephoto sensor for true optical zoom.

Go for this deal if you don’t want to spend more than $500 and want a phone that meets all your needs. The Galaxy S22 might not be as flashy as the newer Pros and Ultras of the world, but it has the specs that most people want and that’s what really matters.

We think it will be snatched up fast so pick one up right away.
