Xbox To Join Gamescom on August 24 With Updates on Its ‘Biggest Exclusives Ever’

Xbox has announced that it will be joining this year’s Gamescom on August 24, with updates on Xbox Game Studios’ “biggest exclusive games line up ever”. The Gamescom 2021 Xbox Stream will take place on August 24 at 10:30 PM IST and will be broadcasted on Xbox’s YouTube channel, Twitch, Facebook Gaming and Twitter. The show will be hosted by Parris Lilly and Kate Yeager.

The company did not announce any plans for new game reveals, with a blog post stating that the show will offer “in-depth updates from some of our previously announced Xbox Game Studios titles alongside some of our third-party partners, including some of the incredible titles coming to Xbox this holiday, upcoming releases to our monthly subscription service, Xbox Game Pass, and much more.”

With the last quarter of 2021 looking packed for Xbox Game Studios with Halo: Infinite, Forza Horizon 5, Age of Empires 4 and CrossFireX, it’s safe to say that the majority of the showcase will be spent on revealing more details about these games. After all, we still have yet to see more of how Halo: Infinite’s campaign is shaping up after last year’s showcase, even though the game’s multiplayer component looks impressive.

Xbox also revealed that a special Xbox gamescom sale will be held on the week of the event, which starts on August 25, 2021, along with a special FanFest event for the brand’s fans in the US.
