Windows 11 users get a huge upgrade that Windows 10 can only dream of

Windows 11 has just had its first major refresh since it launched back in 2021 with those who have already made the switch to this latest operating system being treated to a swathe of upgrades and shiny new features. The software update is slowly being rolled out across the globe and includes changes to the Start menu along with better ways to focus on the task at hand, plus improved gaming functionality and enhancements to the daily video calls.

“With last year’s launch of Windows 11 we gave the PC a modern refresh, making it faster and easier for you to accomplish the tasks you have relied on your PCs for most,” said Panos Panay, Chief Product Officer at Windows.

“More people are using Windows and spending more time on their PCs. In fact, Windows 11 is the most used and most loved version of Windows ever; this is both humbling and energizing for the team and I.

“Our work is never done to ensure Windows evolves and adapts to you. With our first major update to Windows 11, we are taking the next step on our journey, focusing our innovation in four key areas to make your everyday easier.”
