Chinese New Year celebrations for 2022 have begun and will continue for the next two weeks. This year is the year of the Tiger, but what does the Chinese Zodiac sign for your birth year say about you?

Each year is given a different animal, according to the Chinese Zodiac.

The Chinese zodiac ascribes animals with positive and negative attributes to each year.

The animals are based on an old Chinese folk tale known as the Great Race, in which animals raced to get to the Jade Emperor.

The order the animals reached the emperor is the order years are named, which follows a 12-year cycle.

In order, these animals are: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, Pig.
