What channel is Ohio State vs. Oregon on today? Time, TV schedule for Week 2 college football game

No. 3 Ohio State will face No. 9 Oregon for the first time since the inaugural College Football Playoff National Championship.

The Ducks have a 0-9 record in their nine matchups against the Buckeyes. The last time these two teams met in January, 2015, Oregon took a beating and lost 45-20. Ohio State was awarded its eighth national title in school history.

Both the Buckeyes and Ducks are coming off wins in their season-opening games, which they barely survived the first half. Ohio State encountered some early offensive struggles, and Oregon couldn’t gain momentum after losing one of their key pass rushers, Kayvon Thibodeaux, to an ankle sprain. His status for their matchup in Columbus hasn’t been confirmed.

Ohio State is favored by 14.5, according to FanDuel, playing in their home stadium, “The Shoe.” Without Thibodeaux, Oregon won’t be able to apply enough pressure to stop quarterback C.J. Stroud and one of the top three offenses in the country. Buckeyes wide receivers Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson will likely be huge targets for the Ducks’ defense. Olave reached four of his six targets and totaled 117 yards with two touchdowns during Ohio State’s 45-31 win over Minnesota. Wilson had five receptions on 11 targets for 80 yards and a touchdown. The Ducks pass defense will be critical to stopping the Buckeyes receivers.

Oregon coach Mario Cristobal announced that projected starters DJ James and Jamal Hill will be available this weekend after missing the opener and returning to practice following their reinstatement. Hill is currently listed behind Bennett Williams at the STAR position in the week 2 organizational chart, and DJ James is listed as a co-starter alongside Trikweze Bridges and Dontae Manning.
