What channel is Georgia vs. Arkansas on today? Time, TV schedule for Week 5 SEC football game

Sam Pittman’s renaissance at Arkansas and his team’s story this season has been well documented up to now.

The Razorbacks are ranked No. 8 in the country with two ranked wins under their belt and up until arriving in Fayetteville, Pittman had never coached anything but offensive linemen. It’s the Razorbacks’ highest ranking in the AP Poll since 2012 and are 4-0 to start the season for the first time since Houston Nutt’s tenure in 2003.

If this were a few years ago, a matchup between No. 2 Georgia and Arkansas might not draw much attention, but given what Pittman’s done, it’s one of the marquee matchups of Week 5 of the college football season. ESPN’s “College Gameday” will even be live from Athens for the game.

Georgia’s played well this season and is used to being in the national spotlight, though, the No. 2 ranking is the Bulldogs’ first and highest since Week 10 of the 2017 season. The Bulldogs have played stout defense this year — they’ve only given up 23 points through their first four games.

Couple the strong defensive showing with a strong season from the JT Daniels-Stetson Bennett quarterback tandem, and the Bulldogs are showing why they’re legitimate title contenders.

Though one team will leave Saturday’s contest with their first loss of the season, both have good chances to make the SEC title game, and thus potentially compete for a playoff spot.
