Watch motorbike rider make split-second decision faced with an ONCOMING car

A BIKER has uploaded a harrowing video to Instagram showing an incredible near-miss.

Instagram user @welsh_mt125 was commuting to work when the near-death experience happened.

Instagram user @welsh_mt125 had a very lucky escape

The Instagram post has the caption: ‘Nearly taken out on my way to work, normal speed.’

It’s not clear on exactly which road the incident happened, but given the user’s name and other posts, it’s likely to be in Wales.

The video begins with biker @welsh_mt125 proceeding down the road positioned in the middle of the lane.

But almost instantly a car is visible coming straight towards the biker.

The Skoda is overtaking another car and has its headlights on as the weather looks poor and hence the light is reduced.

As the bike and Skoda approach each other, both the Skoda and the pick-up it is overtaking put on their high beam to warn the biker.

But it’s all too late and the biker has to take evasive actions swerving on to verge and around the left side of the car.

Given the wet weather and road tyres on the bike, quite a bit of skill was required to keep the bike upright and avoid a big spill.

Thankfully the rider manages to remain on two wheels and proceed on down the road with it all over in a flash.

The bike and car were inches from each other and their combined speed could be anywhere up to 120mph given the road looks to be an A-road.

At these speeds, there is absolutely no chance of survival for the bike rider after a direct hit.

And people in the comments were all saying the same thing about the incident.

@sam.crowleyy said: “Wow you did well to keep calm and thread it through. Good work bro.”

While @ox_liam_lee said: “Lucky mate hope they are caught if someone else took the plate. Lucky to be alive.”

And @legend0427 said what everybody was thinking: “Well I hope you have a gym bag with extra pants, cause I sure as heck would need em.”
