Virgin Media offers a cheaper way to watch Sky TV and that’s not all

With the football season getting underway next month you might be looking at cheaper ways to tune and watch all of the action. Right on cue, Virgin has launched a new deal which it reckons can save customers cash when switching from its rivals. The offer includes full access to Sky Sports along with TNT Sports (formerly BT Sport) which is thrown in for free.

There’s even HD included so you’ll see all of the action in pin-sharp quality plus Virgin’s TV 360 box which lets you record shows and pause live TV

Along with all of those channels, this bundle also includes Virgin’s M250 broadband as well which means you’ll get speedy 264Mbps internet access to help you stream, download files and work from home.

So how much is all going to cost you.

Virgin’s M250 Bigger + Sports bundle is priced at £65 for the first 18 months. That’s a good deal especially as Virgin has also dropped its usually sign up making it totally free to join.

It is worth noting that this low cost explodes to over £100 once that initial deal ends so make sure you’re ready to renoigaiite the bundle later next year to avoid that bill shock.

Here’s what is included in the M250 Bigger + Sports bundle from Virgin

As a quick comparison, you can currently sign up for Sky Q for £31 per month which includes Netflix. Add Sky Sports (now £20), TNT (£28) plus HD (£9) and you’ll pay £60 per month but that deal doesn’t include any broadband plus there is a £20 upfront fee to pay.

Similar 145Mbps speeds from Sky cost £24 per month.

Speaking about its latest deals, David Bouchier, Chief TV & Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, said: “With a jampacked summer of sport, from The Ashes to Women’s World Cup, we’re offering sports fans the best televised events in one convenient and great value bundle, so they can enjoy even more of their favourite sporting content in stunning HD and with a huge saving.”
