NBA star Victor Wembanyama and a man who looks to be his bodyguard were spotted heading back to their hotel following an incident with Britney Spears.

The Toxic singer, 41, has spoken out about a ‘traumatic incident’ with Victor’s bodyguard on Wednesday evening in LA, after it was originally reported by TMZ.

Britney described how she attempted to tap the 19-year-old sports star on the shoulder, before she was ‘back-handed’ by a member of his security detail.

According to the musician, she was simply trying to congratulate the athlete on his efforts, but was met with ‘physical violence.’

Dubbing the story ‘super embarrassing’ to share, Britney took to social media with the lengthy statement, in which she claimed to be ‘aware of the player’s statement where he mentions, “I grabbed him from behind,” but I simply tapped him on the shoulder.’

Victor previously addressed the incident at a press conference where he claimed he did not know it was Britney until hours after, and had felt someone ‘grab [him] from behind.’

Britney went on: ‘His security then backhanded me in the face without looking back, in front of a crowd. Nearly knocking me down and causing my glasses off my face (sic).’

Now, pictures have emerged of the teen athlete and a member of his security detail.

On the night, the sports star – who is 7′ 5” – was wearing a beige jumper and light jeans.

Meanwhile, the security guard wore a shirt and black trousers, as they walked side-by-side into their hotel suite.

In her statement, Britney also said ‘traumatic experiences’ were ‘not new’ to her, and she ‘wasn’t prepared’ for what happened.

The star also admitted that she herself is no stranger to being ‘swarmed by people all the time,’ and that night ’20 fans’ did so, but her security team ‘didn’t hit any of them.’

‘Physical violence is happening too much in this world,’ she went on. ‘Often behind closed doors.

‘I stand with all the victims and my heart goes out to all of you!!! I have yet to get a public apology from the player, his security or their organization. I hope they will.’

She finished by thanking fans for the ‘tremendous amount of love and support,’ as well as thanking the Las Vegas Police Department.

Britney’s husband Sam Asghari – who was with her on the night – has since publicly condemned ‘violent behaviour.’
