A fisherman in Florida was bitten and dragged into a river by a shark after he dipped his hands in the water. The incident was captured on camera by the man’s friend, who shared the video on social media.
The man, who has not been identified, was fishing with his friend in Florida’s National Everglades Park when he decided to rinse his hands in the river water. His friend warned him not to do so, as there were sharks in the area. However, the man ignored the warning and dipped his hands in the water.
Seconds later, a shark bit the man’s hand and pulled him into the water. The man’s friend can be heard screaming in the video as he tries to help his friend. The shark eventually released the man, who was then pulled back onto the boat by his friend.
The man was airlifted to a hospital and is in stable condition. The shark that bit him has been identified as a bull shark. Bull sharks are known to be aggressive and are often found in shallow water.
The man’s friend has said that he shared the video in order to warn others about the dangers of swimming in areas where sharks are present. He also said that he is grateful to the park rangers who helped to save his friend’s life.
“He was rushed back to the dock and the park rangers were a lifesaver (literally). He was airlifted to the hospital and is in the best care possible,” the fisherman’s friend said.
