The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final result of Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (I) on October 27, 2023. Candidates who took the UPSC CDS (I) exam this year will be able to check the result on the UPSC official website at upsc.gov.in. Here’s the direct link.
The results reveal that a total of 235 candidates have been selected on the basis of the written examination and interviews for admission to the 156th (DE) Course of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun; Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course i.e.No. 215 F(P) Course.
The official notice mentions that the results of medical exam have not been taken into account while preparing these lists. Currently, the Army Headquarters is in the process of verifying the date of birth and educational qualifications of these candidates.
The candidature of all the selected candidates is currently provisional. They will have to forward their original certificates supporting the date of birth, educational qualification etc. that they claimed along with attested photocopies thereof to the Army Headquarters /Naval Headquarters /Air Headquarters, as per their first choice. Additionally, candidates will have to intimate the Army Headquarters /Naval Headquarters /Air Headquarters immediately if there is any change of address.

The scorecards will be available to the candidates on the official website after the final results of the Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) for Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2023 are declared.
All about UPSC CDS Exam
The Union Public Service Commission conducts the CDS exam in order to appoint candidates in the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA), and Officers Training Academy (OTA). The exam is conducted twice a year in April and September. This national-level exam is meant for the recruitment of officers. The selection process consists of a written exam and an SSB interview. The minimum educational qualification required for appearing in the UPSC CDS exam is graduation from a recognised Indian university.
