LUCKNOW: In the first set of directives after assuming charge of secondary education, director general school education (DGSE) has asked officials to conduct a drive and ensure that the service details of staff are uploaded on the online Manav Sampada portal latest by November 30 in order to make the governance process fair and transparent.
DGSE Vijay Kiran Anand also issued directives to create a pool of 50 best teachers in science and mathematics subjects who will lead from the front.
On the lines of basic education, secondary education too will have a task force that will inspect three government schools every month, he said. For this, officials have been asked to prepare a checklist that will aid in grading the government secondary schools across the state.
The DGSE also asked officials to expedite the process of procurement of tablets by December end. Officials of the Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, responsible for conducting UP board examinations have been asked to declare the time-table for class 10 and 12 examination and fix the examination centres by November end.
Anand stated that the government has allocated Rs 325 crore towards resource mapping of government and aided secondary schools through ‘Project Alankar’. Since the money has to be utilised in the current fiscal year, officials have been asked to send proposals so that funds can be released and work begins immediately.
The DGSE further directed officials to populate the six online portals aimed at addressing needs and aspirations of youth, job-seeking children. The six portals — Pahuch, Pragyan, Pankh, Parakh, Pehchan and Praveen were launched by the chief minister on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.
