Ulrika Jonnson has once again expressed her “concern” for Katie Price amid fears she is addicted to plastic surgery.
Writing in her column for The Sun, the 55-year-old has referenced a comment made by Katie’s mother Amy in her new tell-all book backing up her theory.
Ulrika wrote: “After I was hauled over the coals by her fans for suggesting she may have an unhealthy addiction to plastic surgery, Katie Price’s mother Amy has now confessed she worries she might end up looking like the Bride of Frankenstein.”
She then went on to say: “I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve wanted to get hold of her and have a serious talk about how she needs help to get her life back on track. But someone has to want help in the first place.”
This comes after Amy, 71, published a tell-all memoir that exposes her daughter’s toxic love life, drug taking and volatility.
In the book, Amy explains Katie has the tendency to undergo plastic surgery when she’s “having an off day” or “feeling a bit down” as it makes her feel “in control” of her own body.
Writing in The Last Word, which has been published for charity, she writes: “Over the years, we have all come to accept it as part of Kate’s personality, but we have also seen a pattern emerging — relationship difficulties correlate with an urge to change things on the outside.
“Even though it is her inner thoughts and feelings that need attention.”
Katie, 45, shares a close bond with her mother who is terminally ill with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, an incurable lung condition.
This isn’t the first time that Ulrika has publicly slammed the star.
Last month the Shooting Star presenter accused Katie of paying more attention to “holidays and breast enlargements” following the tragic death of her seventh pet in the last six years.
This exchange led Katie to take to Instagram to hit back at critics and her 2.7 million followers that the RSPCA had visited her home and had “no concerns” over the welfare of the animals living there.
During her column, Ulrika also expressed her optimism that Amy could get her daughter’s life “back on track”.
But she also confessed that from her own experience of being a mum, that’s not always possible stating: “But I know from my own maternal experience that sometimes we’re just forced to stand on the sidelines and watch.”
