MANILA, Philippines—Mars Alba has officially bid goodbye to La Salle after a triumphant run in the UAAP Season 85 women’s volleyball tournament.
Alba played an integral part in the Lady Spikers’ dominant season where she was named Finals MVP and Best Setter.
“It was indeed a graceful ending, now heading to my new beginning!” Alba posted on Instagram Sunday.
“To my loved ones, teammates, coaches, to the entire La Sallian community, to the ones who believed and doubted me, I am grateful for the fuel you have given me to keep the Animo alive until the end.”
Alba, however, did not say where she was heading next.
“Everybody saw the mountain in front of me. As I climbed the impossible heights that many people doubted me for, with all honesty, it was never an easy journey,” Alba said.
Alba is the latest key cog to leave La Salle after Jolina Dela Cruz, who has exhausted her playing years.
