While they lost their DStv Premiership tie against AmaZulu FC last weekend, Sekhukhune United coach Brandon Truter says they were a better team than their counterparts.

Sekhukhune were edged 2-0 by 10-men AmaZulu at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.
Goals by Ethan Brooks and Ramahlwe Mphahlele secured the victory for the home side, even though they finished the game with 10 players on the field after Siphesihle Maduna got a red-card.
This was Sekhukhune’s first loss in seven games across all competitions. The last time they tasted defeat was early in March when they were defeated 2-0 by Royal AM.
“We got one chance in the first half, then (we had) a failed clearance and it became 1-0. We controlled so much of the game in the first half, I think we were a better team by far,” said Truter.
“In the second half, they were in it (the game) for about 10 minutes. They got a goal against a run of play. A free kick, miscommunication between Daniel Cardoso and Badra (Ali Sangare, and they get the second goal,” said the Sekhukhune coach.
“We were a bit blunt upfront. But, I think structurally, tactically, possession wise, we were superior. But they walked away with the three points. I can’t complain about anything.”
With the poor result, Babina Noko are still at the top half of the league table. They are occupying seventh spot on the log with 35 points after 27 matches.

The chase for Top 8
Truter’s troops are one of the sides contesting to finish inside the Top 8 on the league standings. And with three games left, they will have to ensure that they don’t lose their spot to the likes of Royal AM (position nine, 33 points), Golden Arrows (position 10, 33 points), Usuthu (position 11, 32 points) and Richards Bay (position 12, 32 points) – all are waiting for teams above them to drop points.
Sekhukhune next take on TS Galaxy in a league clash set to be played at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday.
