Trinny Woodall said her 19-year-old daughter Lyla Elichaoff has “mothered” her through recent “tough times” following her break-up from Charles Saatchi and a recent car accident in Los Angeles.
The beauty mogul was with the 80-year-old businessman for 10 years.
The 59-year-old reportedly split from her long-term partner four months ago, but hasn’t spoken about it publicly.
Now speaking to Woman and Home, she said: “I’ve been through some tough times recently, but I’m feeling good now.
“Lyla likes to mother me. We are pretty close because she doesn’t have a dad.
“We only have each other, so we have to sort stuff out quicker after an argument.”
Lyla’s father Johnny Elichaoff tragically died back in 2014, aged 55.
He and Trinny married in 1999 but they got divorced 10 years later.
The fashion expert began dating Charles in 2013, following his divorce from celebrity chef Nigella Lawson.
Reports earlier this year said the couple separated after finding the age gap difficult, but she’s remained tight-lipped about what really caused their split.
When asked about it by the publication, she said she did “not want to delve into any very personal details”.
Trinny added she was “excited by the future” and that “life is good” for her at the moment.
Following claims of their split, the fashion guru posted at the time: “It’s a new day, it’s a new dawn, it’s a new life. I have been moving but now I have moved.”
Back in May, Charles was reportedly spotted out for lunch with model Martha Sitwell.
According to the Mail Online, she said they had met up and described the businessman as “a very clever, very funny man”.
She went on to reject claims the pair had been “canoodling” during their lunch together as diners had claimed.
The Woman and Home issue for September is on sale on Thursday and Trinny’s book Fearless will be released on September 14.
