Weeks after confirming that she’s expecting her second child, Toni Gonzaga made an appreciation post for her husband, presidential adviser for creative communications Paul Soriano, for supporting her during the “last stretch” of her pregnancy.

Gonzaga gave the thank-you shout-out on her Instagram Story on Tuesday, July 25, as she shared a black-and-white photo of herself lying down a hospital bed while cradling her baby bump. While she remains tight-lipped about the current status of her pregnancy, she hinted that she’s about to give birth to her second child soon.

“Since the start of July, it’s been home-doctor-home-doctor for me. Thank you for never leaving my side in this last stretch. Needed you now more than ever. Thank you for being the best partner in this journey. Anytime now. Love you @paulsoriano1017,” she said in her post.

Soriano, who was tapped to direct President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s second State of the Nation Address (SONA) last July 24, was visibly absent during the event. His absence was then confirmed by Presidential Communications Office secretary Cheloy Garafil the following day, when Palace reporters inquired about his continued absence during the president’s Malaysia trip.

Garafil simply said that Soriano is currently on leave due to “personal matters.”

Gonzaga’s post comes weeks after confirming that she and Soriano are about to be parents of two, as she shared a glimpse of her baby shower last June in which her sister Alex and close friends were present. Reports of the singer-actress being pregnant surfaced in March of this year.

The former Kapamilya celebrity and Soriano wed in June 2015, then welcomed their first child Seve in October 2016. EDV
