Prepare to feast your eyes on the most wholesome of Harry Potter reunions as Jason Isaacs and Tom Felton enjoyed a lovely time when Jason went to see his West End play and came over all proud dad.
Yes, the Malfoys got mushy as 59-year-old Jason came along to support Tom, 34, as he trod the boards in 2:22 – A Ghost Story.
The pair made a formidable onscreen duo as father and son Lucius and Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, with Jason joining the franchise for the second film, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
Sharing a selfie of them together outside the Criterion Theatre where the play is running, Tom acknowledged one of his character’s most beloved phrases as he commented: ‘My father heard about this play I was in.’
The pair went incognito in baseball caps as they smiled for the camera.
Meanwhile, Jason posted a whole host of pictures in celebration of his day supporting Tom as he marvelled over seeing ‘his boy commanding the stage’.
In one, Tom and he beamed for the camera wit their heads close together, while in others Jason took on his excited parent role as he posed pointing at the poster for the play – featuring Tom – and then took a thumbs up selfie next to a sign praising Tom’ performance in the show as part of an ‘immaculate cast’.
‘So proud and, along with the audience, thrilled to see my boy commanding the stage today, breaking hearts and filling pants,’ he joked fondly.
Going on to big up the rest of Tom’s ongoing projects, the Case Histories and Star Trek: Discovery star added: ‘Equally terrifying, he’s recording music and has a book coming out too.
‘I feel smug if I take the bins out on the right day (doesn’t happen often). I’d hate him if I didn’t love him.’
Jason is no slouch himself at the moment, having recently been announced to play Hollywood star Cary Grant in a biopic mini-series for ITV, with the blessing of Grant’s daughter and ex-wife.
Fans were delighted to see the duo together again at the weekend, with one commenting: ‘I love this relationship you have ❤️’
‘Best father and son duo ever. ❤️????,’ announced another.
‘Aww father son love!!’ wrote one fan, adding: ‘It was amazing when I saw it I cried at the end. He’s a star much love to you both xxx’
