The life and crimes of Curtis ‘Cocky’ Warren – the £300m ecstasy, cocaine, heroin and cannabis baron on his way out of jail
A notorious drugs baron with links to Manchester will be freed from prison next year.
Curtis Warren, from Liverpool, is to be released after spending 14 years in jail.
Warren, 58 – who built up a reputed £300m fortune – is due to be automatically released next year. He will not have to go before the Parole Board because he is not serving a life sentence.
Through the 1980s and 1990s, ‘Cocky’ Warren, as he became known, graduated from running nightclub doors, to armed robbery and then international drug trafficking.

Man, 22, raped in Bolton town centre in ‘horrific’ attack
An investigation is underway after a man was raped in Bolton town centre.
The 22-year-old was attacked at around 3.30am this morning (Sunday November 7) according to Greater Manchester Police.
According to officers, the victim was approached by another man on Nelson Square.
They then walked to Back Mawdsley Street and the victim was raped.
No arrests have been made.

Yobs ‘grab woman by neck and kiss her’ before trashing Gary Usher’s Hispi bistro in disgusting attack
Chef Gary Usher has slammed a group of drunken yobs who attacked staff at his Didsbury bistro last night.
The owner of Hispi Bistro said a man grabbed a female worker by the neck and kissed her after she had shoved the customer away.
In a video posted online which can be viewed above, Gary revealed the group of four louts poured wine all over his restaurant after being told to leave twice.
The furious chef said they came back and the staff at the restaurant tried to resolve the situation by looking after them.
However, the situation took a turn for the worse when one of the group allegedly grabbed a member of staff in an attempt to kiss her.

Man found dead after emergency services rush to street
The body of a man has been recovered after the emergency services rushed to the scene amid concerns for his welfare.
A cordon was in place from 3pm on Saturday, November 6, in Peel Moat Road, Stockport, according to eyewitnesses.
Police had been called to reports of concerns for the welfare of a man on the street in Heaton Moor.
Police and paramedics attended the incident but, ‘despite their best work’, a 53-year-old man was pronounced dead, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police has confirmed.

A man has died and three other people have been injured following a serious crash in Bolton.
A man has died and three other people have been injured following a serious crash in Bolton.
Officers say a grey Audi had crashed into a tree.
Tragically, a 32-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A three-year-old child was taken to hospital with a shoulder injury and a 31-year-old woman was taken to hospital with injuries to her leg and arm.

They were back in the ballroom on Saturday night for their latest performance but all eyes are on AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington for what’s going on off-screen.
The dancing couple have been the subject of romance rumours from the very first moment they stepped onto the floor at the start of the BBC One dance competition.
This was fuelled further after their Movie Week dance to Whitney Houston’s ‘I have nothing’ from The Bodyguard last month.
That’s because Kai was heard saying at the end of their performance to AJ: “Aww I I love you, I love you so much,” as the pair shared an embrace on the dance floor.
