Cheapest day to book

Skyscanner found the cheapest day to book flights to Greece was Saturday. However, flight prices tend to rise the sooner it gets to the travel date so Britons are usually best off snapping up a deal when they see it.

Cheapest day to fly

The cheapest day of the week to set off to Greece is Monday. Many people that work 9-5 prefer to fly at the end of the week which often drives up prices for travel on Friday and Saturday.

Opting to fly on a Monday could save Britons money and the airport may also be quieter than at peak times.

Cheapest week this summer

Skyscanner’s research found the cheapest week to travel to Greece was August 21, with flight prices lowest for those dates.

Although it’s far more popular to travel at the start of the school holidays, Britons could actually save by waiting till the end of the break.

Flight prices tend to be lowest at the end of August while charges are highest for families heading off at the start of the school holidays.

Cheapest destination

Skyscanner found the country’s cheapest destination to fly to was Corfu, a gorgeous island with incredible beaches and an UNESCO Old Town.

The dreamy island is a favourite of King Charles III who feels especially connected to the spot as his father was born there.

Britons who want to save even more money could choose to stay in Saranda, a beautiful beach resort in Albania and take the ferry across to Corfu which is easily possible in a day.
