This is someone who definitely won’t be working for the Italian tourist office. Australian TikToker Mikeala Testa has sparked backlash for trashing some of Europe’s top vacation spots.
She’s posted a video from the stunning island of Capri in Italy warning people not to visiter. Mikeala wrote: “If you’re not in Europe this summer and you’re really sad about it. Don’t be pleased because it’s not all that it is cracked up to be.
“We just walked 50 minutes down a pathway, the wrong pathway for it to be bolted locked and we have no water”.
She posted videos of crowds in the main ferry port before panning across a scene of colorful, painted houses, right on the water’s edge.
She wrote: “I just feel that influencers come to these locations and make them look so amazing and so pretty. Half of it’s edited and filtered and not real. I don’t even want to mention them because I don’t want to be that b***h”.
But there was one part of Capri the traveler did enjoy. She visited the Faraglioni rock formations just off the coast.
She said: “This was stunning, this was gorgeous, this was insane, like, you need to see it.”
“One thing about swimming in Europe though, as an Australian, you don’t have to be scared of sharks.
“I’m gripping onto my friend for dear life. I just can’t enjoy myself. I feel like a giant shark is going to come and swallow me whole”.
But the trip wasn’t an endless pleasure. The content creator moaned: “It’s been three months. We’re just dying to go home at this point”.
Mikeala complained about the walking too. “So much walking is involved here. I think I burn like literally, 3,000 calories a day from these steps. I think we caught heat stroke we had to literally drench ourselves with water”.
Viewers were not impressed: One viewer had a suggestion, “Stay in Australia plssssssss”
Another wrote: “I thought Capri was stunning. Literally one of the most beautiful places I’ve been. Loved walking around it”.
One said: “Bruh seeing someone hate ur dream life is just soul crushing”.
