Yet another reality TV star is hoping to become president of the US, with Tiger King star Joe Exotic officially announcing his bid for the 2024 election.

The former zookeeper, 60, was catapulted to global fame after starring in the blockbuster Netflix documentary, which centered on the Big Cat industry in the states and his rivalry with Carole Baskin.

The feud ultimately led Exotic, real name Joseph Maldonado-Passage, to be convicted of trying to hire two different men to kill wildlife activist Baskin last January.

But despite currently serving a 21-year prison sentence, Exotic has ambitions to be the leader of the free world, sharing on his social media accounts he is a candidate for next year’s election.

He wrote: ‘It’s official! I am now a candidate for President of the United States in 2024’ and also shared a picture that read ‘Make America Exotic Again’, in an apparent nod to Donald Trump’s slogan.

Exotic, who has set up a campaign website, added: ‘Yes. I can run for President from prison, as a felon. Please go learn your constitution, before you vote.’

It is not the first time Exotic has made a play for the White House, having previously run for president in 2016.

Back then, he was an independent candidate in the election against Trump and Democratic nominee, Hilary Clinton.

Earlier this month, Exotic opened up about Tiger King, declaring the docuseries has ‘absolutely’ ruined his life.

He told TMZ: ‘Did Tiger King ruin my life? Absolutely. I was filming just a little tiger film in 2016 and 2017 and then Netflix and Eric Goode and all of them turned this into this conspiracy to kill Carole Baskin to make a show.’

As well as his presidential aspirations, Exotic has also revealed he hopes to marry his fiancé Seth Posey.

Last month, it was revealed that the former zookeeper is refusing further treatment after doctors warned they think his prostate cancer has spread to his bladder.

It has since been learned that he wants his entire estate to go to his other half, whom he met over the internet.

Exotic also said that he’s included a DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) order in his will if he was to experience a medical emergency.

Tiger King is available to stream on Netflix.
