This Samsung smartphone is receiving its last major software update – Times of India

Samsung F42 5G has started receiving the One UI 5.0 update based on Android 13 in India. Earlier this year, the smartphone received the One UI 4.1 update based on Android 12. The smartphone will only receive security updates from now onwards.
The Android 13 update is rolling out with the firmware version E426BXXU3CVKC and also brings the latest November 2022 security patch. Samsung launched the device in a few Asian countries, including Sri Lanka and the update is expected to release in the upcoming days.

Here’s how to download the OneUI 5.0 update based on Android 13.
1. Open the Settings app on the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G.
2. Scroll down and tap Software update.
3. Tap Download and Install.

Samsung Galaxy F42 5G comes in two RAM and storage variants. The base model packs 6GB RAM with 128GB storage which is priced at Rs 20,999. Another variant comes with 8GB RAM and carries a price tag of Rs 22,999.

Samsung Galaxy F42 5G sports a 6.6-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset which ran earlier on Samsung One UI 3.1 based on Android 11 operating system.
The mid-range smartphone features Dolby Atmos support for both wired and Bluetooth headsets. The smartphone has a triple rear camera setup comprising a 64MP primary camera, a 5MP ultra-wide lens with a 115-degree field of view and a 2MP live focus lens. It houses an 8MP camera at the front for selfies. The phone comes with a Night mode feature.
The device houses a 5000mAh battery with a 15W adapter and USB Type-C charging port.
