This PlayStation-exclusive title may soon come to PC – Times of India

We may soon get another PlayStation exclusive on PC; the title we are speaking of is the Gran Turismo 7, the eighth instalment in Yamauchi’s Gran Turismo franchise, released earlier this year for the PlayStation 4.
In an interview with GTPlanet, when asked about the possibility of bringing the Gran Turismo 7 to PC, the creator Kazunori Yamauchi, said, “Yes, I do think so.” He further added that the team is “looking into it and considering it,” but it is not a very easy thing to do.
Gran Turismo is a very finely tuned title,” Yamauchi told the outlet. Although, he seemed concerned about the platform’s capabilities to run the title in 4K/60fps consistently. He further added that Gran Turismo is already a multi-platform title as it runs smoothly on the last two generations of PlayStation, the PlayStation 4, 4 Pro and PlayStation 5.
Ever since its inception, for 25 years now, Gran Turismo has remained exclusive to PlayStation. Yamauchi notes that bringing the latest instalment to PC would be “one of the most significant development,” and many new players would get to experience the series for the very first time.
In the past few years, Sony has brought some of the popular PlayStation-exclusive titles to PC, including two of Marvel’s Spider-Man titles – Spider-Man Remastered and Miles Morales. The God of War, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves and Horizon Zero Dawn have also been ported to the PC, and the company plans to bring more titles to the PC.
During an investors meeting, Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO, Jim Ryan, said that by 2025 the company aims for half of its releases to be on PC and mobile. Further, it expects the PC games sale to be tripled this year.
