This is the ‘most preferred smartphone brand’ of Delhiites – Times of India

According to the report, 85% of the users are open to the idea of going for a refurbished device again, with affordability being the key factor driving the sales.

Delhiites prefer iPhones over any other smartphone, as per a whitepaper survey by Cashify. As per the survey, out of the 8,000 people surveyed, 18% of total iPhone users live in New Delhi, 11% in Bangalore and 105 in Mumbai.
The Cashify survey also revealed that New Delhi is also at the top when it comes to the number of used phones sold. The national capital topped the survey with 18% of the total used phones sold, followed by Mumbai and Bangalore with 10% and 9% respectively.
According to the report, 85% of the users are open to the idea of going for a refurbished device again, with affordability being the key factor driving the sales. The report says that 70% of users bought refurbished phones just because they could get them at an affordable price while 12% of respondents purchased them as spare devices. There is another section of 13% of people who spent their money on a refurbished device because they wanted to gift it to a loved one.
The report also mentions that 71% of the 8,000 surveyed understand the concept of e-waste, but only 48% know how they would go about recycling their old devices. When asked, 58% said that they would like to recycle their old devices, while 27% said that they could do it if they got a monetary benefit in return. 15% users were not too keen on recycling and said no, with an additional 4% raising concerns about data privacy.
Most prevalent types of smartphone damages
The report also states the type of smartphone damage that was the most prevalent. As per the whitepaper, 40% of respondents had to get their phones repaired due to screen issues, 25% due to battery problems, 10% camera issues and 25% due to other issues. When it comes to the maximum number of repairs, New Delhi again emerged as the city with the highest bookings, with almost 25% of the total repairs.
Top three brands whose used phones are sold the most
The top three smartphone brands with the highest number of used phones sold are Xiaomi (25%), Apple (16%), and Samsung (15%), as per the Cashify report. When it comes to buyback, the Apple iPhone 7, Redmi Note 5 Pro, Redmi Note 4, Apple iPhone 6 and Apple iPhone X made the top 5, in the same order.
The most truthful and least truthful cities
When it comes to the percentage of smartphone users who stated the actual condition of their devices most truthfully, while putting them up online for sale, Bangalore emerged as the most truthful city with 29%, followed by Hyderabad with 28%. When it comes to the least truthful cities, Kolkata and Pune were the least truthful with 21% each.
