If you’re looking for a perfume that makes people double-take, you can’t get more distinctive than Le Labo Santal 33.

The cult fragrance has a legion of celebrity fans, known as Alexa Chung’s signature scent and worn by the likes of Jodie Comer, Justin Bieber, Ryan Reynolds and Sophie Turner.

A unisex blend of sandalwood, cardamom, iris and violet, Santal 33 is sensual and luxurious – something that also translates to its price tag.

At £157 for a 50ml bottle, it’s out of budget for many of us.

But, thanks to an M&S alternative, we can still smell expensive without the expense.

TikTokers have been singing the praises of the Apothecary Warmth Eau de Parfum, with many claiming it’s a dead ringer for Santal 33 despite costing just £10.

After a creator highlighted the perfumes’ similarities, one person commented: ‘That is my fave scent ever!! Running to buy.’

‘Love the scent, it smells exactly same as the other expensive brand,’ wrote another. ‘It just doesn’t last as long but can be applied a few times since the price is so decent!’

Word spread about the Le Labo discount doppelganger, causing Warmth – which is from M&S’s wellbeing-focused Apothecary range – to sell out online.

Now back in stock, it’s worth snapping up quickly if you don’t want to miss out.

The fragrance itself features notes of cardamom, cinnamon, cedarwood and sandalwood, said ‘to evoke a warming feeling of comfort.’

Reviewers describe it as ‘subtle’, ‘exotic’, ‘spicy’ and ‘delicious’, noting the unexpected, masculine notes that make the scent so unique.

Several Warmth fans also said they’d had compliments galore while wearing it. Imagine the surprised looks you’ll get when you reveal that your enigmatic aroma only set you back a tenner.
