These Samsung Galaxy phone users are facing auto restart issue – Times of India

Some users of Samsung Galaxy A and Galaxy M series are complaining about a mysterious problem that puts their phones to freeze and make them restart on their own. As per a SamMobile report, the list of affected devices include Galaxy M30s, Galaxy M31, Galaxy M31s, Galaxy A50, Galaxy A50s, and Galaxy A51.
Samsung Galaxy M series is the company’s budget offering, while the Galaxy A series mainly consists of mid-range smartphones. To recall, Samsung Galaxy A51 was one of the best selling Android smartphones in 2020.
Users of above-mentioned devices say that the handset freezes automatically and then restarts on its own. Exact cause of the problem is yet not known. Fixes like factory reset are not working for the users right now.
Samsung is yet to officially confirm the problem. Notably, all the impacted smartphones run on Samsung’s own Exynos processor. “I have started facing this issue in last 3 days, when I visited customer care they said it has motherboard fault they even cannot specify”, says one of the impacted users in an online forum.
Some of the impact users say that they were told by Samsung service centres to replace the motherboard. But that will cost users more than $100.
Meanwhile, the company is set to expand its Galaxy M series range with the launch of Galaxy M52 5g phone in India. The handset will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor. It will be unveiled by the company on september 28 at 12 noon. The device is teased to come with a 7.4mm sleek design and will feature triple camera setup at the back. Online commerce platform Amazon has created a microsite of the upcoming phone, hinting at its availability via the platform.
