A HUGE new Disney attraction is opening in the UK this year – and fans of the films will love it.
Disney100: The Exhibition is opening this October in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company.
The 20,000sqft exhibition at the ExCel in London will have 10 themed galleries with many of the original props and costumes from both older films to the newer Disney movies.
The “Where Do the Stories Come From?” gallery will have real props such as the storybook from the opening scene of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the Crystalline glass slipper from the remake of Cinderella and the Mary Poppins carousel horse.
The “Illusion of Life” gallery will have original artwork including the animation of ‘Cruella’ from One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961) and the red dress from Cruella (2021) alongside other sketches of Disney villains, heroes and sidekicks.
The gallery “The Spirit of Adventure and Discovery” will show off things like the Iron Man helmet from Avengers: Infinity War, among other items while the “Your Disney World: A Day in the Parks” will take guests into some of the theme park’s most iconic areas.
This includes Main Street, USA, alongside an attraction vehicle from Mr Toad’s Wild Ride at Disneyland and a model of the Castle of Magical Dreams for Hong Kong Disneyland.
There will also be photo opportunities including a life-size Mr Incredible along with Goofy and Mickey.
And kids will love the treasure hunt, trying to find Disney memorabilia, alongside the gift shop.
Walt Disney Archives director Becky Cline said: “We are incredibly excited to bring this fantastic exhibition to London.
“We can’t wait for guests in the UK to experience their favourite Disney stories, characters, and attractions in new and immersive ways as we celebrate all the wonderful worlds of Disney.”
The waitlist for tickets opens today, with tickets going on sale from July 18.
Ticket prices start from £16.50 with special prices for families, kids, students and senior citizens.
The attraction opens on October 13, although visit on October 16 for an extended 9pm opening and all-day VIP tickets, which come with D100 pins and a branded lanyard.
Don’t worry about missing out – the attraction will run until 2024.
It’s easy to get to as well, with the ExCel Centre just 12 minutes from Central London on the Elizabeth Line.
Earlier this year, Disney World celebrated its 50th anniversary.
And Disneyland Paris has just turned 30 – and Sun Online Travel visited the park.
