The Cabins: What time is it on ITV2 and how does the dating show work?
Narrated by comedian Maisie Adam, this year sees three brand spanking new Cabins in Wales for the lovelorn pairings to check into.
The second series comes after its launch in 2021 became ITV Hub’s most popular entertainment show.
Based on an original Dutch format, Let Love Rule, The Cabins follows a cast of hopefuls wanting to ditch the dating rule book and go off the grid as they get to know each other in the gold ol’ fashioned way – face-to-face.
There isn’t long to wait until the second series hits our screens so, in the meantime, let’s get clued up on how the show works.
What time does The Cabins air on ITV2?
The Cabins returns on Monday, January 3 to ITV2 and ITV Hub.
Viewers can tune in at 9pm for the first episode.
The first series saw Charlotte and Sarah grow close, leading to them becoming the first pair to stay for four days before leaving as an official ‘Cabins couple.’
The show is now back to brighten up those dreary January nights with a cast including a car salesman, a hairdresser, a nursing assistant and a leisure centre worker all sure to create memes and memories on their adventures for romance.
The first series was filmed in Hidden River Cabins in Cumbria, right by the Lake District.
This year’s singletons, however, will be checking into three new Cabins in Wales.
How does The Cabins dating show work?
Series 2 sees the return of Cabins Otter’s Pocket, Beaver’s Burrow and Stag’s Mount, with each Cabin decorated to reflect its unique name.
The singletons are given the opportunity to stay in one of the three cabins with potential suitors for at least 24 hours.
After their 24 hours come to an end, they must decide whether they wish to spend more time with each other, or go their separate ways.
It makes a nice change from Tinder, especially as the pairings will have access to hot tubs, board games, fully-equipped kitchens and other added bonuses during their luxury stays.
However, this series does come with an exciting twist, certain to bring drama.
Since the three Cabins are situated closely together, the couples will get a chance to gossip and debrief with their neighbours next door.
The singletons will be able to talk about how they’re really feeling about their matches, and whether the dates are going to plan.
Plus, there are new private areas for dates, allowing the couples to explore even further together.
And as if that didn’t make the series juicy enough, series 2 sees an additional surprise for the singletons, as a friend or loved one could be dropping in to see how a date is going.
With an outsider stopping by to add their opinions on the pairings and potentially stir the pot, will the couples be matches made in heaven, or will things turn sour before they’ve even had a chance to get going?
The Cabins returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
