Suzuki unveils new Swift Concept: Here is how it looks, updates and likely launch date

Suzuki has officially unveiled the latest Swift concept at the Japan Mobility Show 2023 in Tokyo, putting an end to all the speculation about the new hatchback’s design. As per a TOI report, the actual car closely resembles the digital renderings that have been circulating online. It is expected to arrive in India in the second half of 2024.

A video shared by @jacovanderm on social media provides a first look at the new Swift hatchback and highlights its latest features. Although the hatchback in the video appears to be close to production, it is important to note that it is a Suzuki Swift concept vehicle.

In terms of design, the silhouette of the Swift remains largely unchanged. However, there are noticeable updates to the headlamp and taillamp design, front fascia, and bonnet, giving the hatchback a sharper look. The diamond-cut alloy wheels also sport a fresh design.

Moving to the interior, the new Swift features an analogue driver information set-up with a digital MID display in the center. The steering wheel remains the same, but the dashboard has been revamped for a sleeker appearance. The car is equipped with the latest-generation floating infotainment touchscreen, offering enhanced connectivity options.

The video also reveals several other features, including a 360-degree camera, push-button start/stop, and parking sensors. However, the most significant update spotted in the footage is the addition of two extra buttons on the left side of the steering wheel, suggesting the inclusion of ADAS safety functions. It remains uncertain if the same safety suite will be available in the Indian version of the car.

Additionally, the video showcases an automatic gearbox and an electronic parking brake with auto hold, indicating convenience features present in the new Swift.

Overall, the new Swift concept promises a more modern and tech-laden driving experience. Car enthusiasts and potential buyers in India eagerly await its official launch in the country.
