The professional dancers are said to be ‘very much together’ following Nadyia’s split from her fiancé, Slovenian footballer Matija Škarabot, last year, with whom she shares a five-year-old daughter.
The rumoured couple, who are currently touring the nation with the BBC’s live ballroom extravaganza, was pictured arriving back at their hotel in Leeds.
Nadiya, 32, grinned from ear to ear as she approached the venue in a black leather jacket, jeans and heels, with her blonde hair draped over her shoulders.
Kai, 26, also beamed as he casually strolled with his right hand in his pocket. He sported a casual look in a black top, with a plaid shirt and grey jacket, black jeans and trainers.
News of their supposed romance was reported on Tuesday after The Sun published photos of them checking into said hotel.
‘It was low-key at first but they can’t help it now — they’re very much together,’ an insider said.
‘Kai was outside the hotel for about 15 minutes and waited until everyone else in the touring party had checked in — but Nadiya came along a short while later.
‘It’s clear they’re a proper item.’
Another onlooker added to the publication: ‘Kai and Nadiya didn’t seem at all secretive about their relationship – they’re a couple like any other.’
It emerged last week that Nadiya and her ex-fiancé Matija decided to go their separate ways due to the commitments they both give to their jobs. Their long-distance relationship was said to be an additional factor.
A source told MailOnline that they hadn’t been together ‘for some time now’, with Matija, 33, ‘dedicated to his footballing career in Slovenia’ and Nadiya being ‘predominantly based in London’.
‘Performing on Strictly and the Strictly Live Tour takes up half her year, in the end the commitment to their jobs made it too difficult for the relationship to work,’ the insider said.
‘There’s still a lot of love and respect between them and Mila is and always will be their priority.’
