Strictly Come Dancing star Rose Ayling-Ellis has won the hearts of the nation due to her emotive performances on the dance floor, and it looks like she’s set for a new level of stardom once the series wraps.

The 27-year-old EastEnders actress, who is currently partnered with dancer Giovanni Pernice, is currently bookies favourite to win the show, after impressing the judges week after week.

Bosses are reportedly discussing her future once the competition ends, and even see the star following the same path as presenter Stacey Dooley.

A source told the Daily Mail: ‘Rose is a star and is exactly what the BBC need. The nation has fallen in love with her.

‘Everything about her is so charming and lovely.’

Stacey won the competition series with partner and current boyfriend Kevin Clifton in 2018, and later signed a £200,000 deal with the BBC, and it looks like Rose is set for the same fate.

Rose and Giovanni, 31, have performed a number of spectacular dances so far, but their couple’s choice to Symphony, which celebrated the Deaf community, left the judges and viewers at home in tears.

When their performance came to an end, the panel were on their feet with applause.

A tearful Motsi Mabuse told the soap star: ‘I honestly feel like saying thank you, because this was such a beautiful moment to include us in your world, and for us to actually understand how important and how aware we all could be of each other generally everywhere, and this was so special.’

Giovanni recently revealed that the silent moment in the dance was a lot more difficult than it looked.

Appearing on Friday’s This Morning, he shared: ‘Doing even 10 seconds of silence, I am a professional dancer who has been doing this for 23 years, but even 10 seconds of silence was so hard.

‘Those 10 seconds were just powerful, it was just very, very, very good.’

Their latest performance, a quickstep to Disney’s Frozen, was met with high praise, with guest star judge Cynthia Erivo using sign language to communicate with Rose.

Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight at 7.15pm on BBC One.
