Stacey Solomon shares clever trick with fans to transform loo brush

Stacey Solomon has revealed a clever trick to spruce up a rather unusual item in her bathroom using leftover material from her renovations at Pickle Cottage. Taking to Instagram she showed fans how small tiles that were meant for her bathroom are perfect for covering her loo brush.

In a video she said: “I’m going to make a video with a personal to-do list. I want to use the leftover tiles I’ve got to decorate my toilet brush because I think why waste them and it might make a nice sparkly toilet brush.”

Stacey had some left over tiles from her bathroom renovation

In another clip, the Loose Women presenter wrote: “It’s one way to use leftovers I suppose. I just stuck them on with leftover tile adhesive. Now I just have to let it go off then I’ll grout it and then I’ll put the same sealer we are putting all over our tiles in here so that it’s smooth and gross dirt can’t get in the grout.”

In the accompanying video, Stacey demonstrates how to cover the brush in a montage which shows off the finished product proudly on display in her bathroom.

Stacey and Joe moved into the £1.2 million mansion in March last year and since then she’s kept fans updated with the renovations that have taken place at their home. Earlier in the month she managed to transform her son, Rex’s, bedroom on a budget simply by shopping at IKEA, Amazon and Dunlem.

The finished product

His room features chalkboard paint which allows her son to be creative and only cost £9.

She said: “I’ve bought some chalkboard paint and apparently you just paint this on a bit of the wall and then you can draw on it with chalk markers and rub it off again like a blackboard.

“I mean he loves drawing on the walls for the best of times, so I thought I might as well dedicate him a space where he’s actually allowed to do it.”
