Splinter Cell Remake To Be Rewritten and Updated for the “Modern-Day Audience”; All We Know

]A new job listing for the development of the remake of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell suggests that the title will be rewritten for the “modern-day” audience.

As spotted by PSU, the job listing for the position of Scriptwriter seems to confirm that Ubisoft is looking to bring some changes to the story of former Third Echelon member, Sam Fisher.

The remake of the iconic Xbox title was announced around a year ago, with the development being handled the studio behind franchise titles like Far Cry 6 and Watch Dogs: Legion in Ubisoft Toronto. The studio was also behind the development of another title of the Sam Fisher-led series in Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist, which released in 2013.

Sam Fisher makes his return in the hotly-anticipated remake of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell.

With the original releasing around two decades ago, the developers have mentioned that they want to imbibe the spirit of Splinter Cell with the remake as well, as mentioned in a press release during the title’s announcement.

While the title undergoes a visual overhaul for current generation consoles and PC, fans are intrigued to see how the developers will be looking to adapt the story of the highly-decorated NSA agent.
