Sony has launched two new soundbars – HT-A5000 and HT-A3000 – in India. The two soundbars come after the launch of the HT-A700 soundbar, which was launched in India earlier this year. The Sony HT-A5000 and HT-A3000 come with Dolby Atmos, 360-degree spatial audio, bringing an immersive cinematic surround sound.

The Sony HT-A5000 and HT-A3000 come in the soundbar-subwoofer combo. The Sony HT-A500 with SW3 subwoofer costs Rs 1,11,980, while the SW5 subwoofer combo is priced at Rs 1,38,980. Meanwhile, the Sony HT-A300 and SW5 combo comes for Rs 1,10,980, and when paired with the SW3 subwoofer, the combo costs Rs 83,980.
The rear speakers are not included in the package and come as an optional choice – the SA-RS3S and SA-R5S cost Rs 30,990 and Rs 47,990, respectively.
The Sony HT-A5000 and HT-A3000 soundbars will be available for purchase starting December 12 through Amazon.in, ShopatSC.com, Sony Center, and retail stores across the country.

Sony’s HT-A5000 is a 450W 5.1.2-channel unit with three forward-firing speakers, two beam tweeters, two upward-firing speakers, and a built-in subwoofer. Meanwhile, HT-A3000 is a 3.1 channel soundbar with an output of 240W, having three forward-firing speakers and a built-in dual-driver subwoofer.
The two soundbars feature a premium omnidirectional block design with rounded corners. Even the optional speakers come in the same design. The company says that the design helps in wide-spreading sound, and the rich material design makes the soundbar blend in with the living room environment.
Sony HT-A5000 and HT-3000 come with Vertical Surround Sound Engine technology, supporting DTS:X and Dolby Atmos. Further, the soundbars support Sony’s indigenous 360 Spatial Sound with sound field optimisation, and acoustic centre sync mode. There is support for DSSE Extreme on both soundbars. Further, the HT-A5000 features S-Force Pro Front Surround, delivering a wider horizontal sound field.
The Sony HT-A5090 and HT-A3000 can be connected to televisions using the HDMI ARC/eARC. However, there are two more HDMI ports – input and output and an optical port (Toslink). The two soundbars support 4K pass-through for up to Dolby Vision format.
As for wireless connectivity, both soundbars come with support for Bluetooth 5 and WiFi, with Chromecast, AirPlay, and Spotify Connect support. Furthermore, the HT-A5000 and HT-A3000 are Google Assistant and Alexa supported.
