Sons of the Forest original sees a massive increase in sales

THE Forest has seen a huge increase in sales following the success of its sequel, Sons of the Forest.

Sons of the Forest was a surprise success crashing Steam on the day of its early access release.

It’s an island survival horror adventure that players have flocked to thanks to multiplayer action and its open world.

Rather than having a story to follow, Sons of the Forest is more like Minecraft where you can decide what to do next.

The early access success of Sons of the Forest has also had an interesting knock on effect to the original game.

The Forest preceded Sons of the Forest, and is similarly a survival horror game.

It first released in 2014, and as you would expect, sales had wound down so long after its original launch.

However, The Forest is now dominating PlayStation charts due to the success of its sequel.

It was the eighth best-selling PS4 game in the US and Canada last month.

Even more impressive it managed to grab the third best-selling spot in the UK and EU, only behind The Last of Us Part 2 and Minecraft.

The title outsold some of the PS4’s best-selling games last month, such as FIFA 23, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

This massive increase in sales can be partly explained by the game going on sale in the run up to its sequel’s release.

Sons of the Forest is currently only available on PC, and those without a high-end gaming PC would not be able to play it.

This could be the reason that The Forest has increased in sales as those with consoles prepare themselves for the sequel’s eventual console release.
