Smith and Rock offered £10m to fight on O2 undercard after Oscars clash

HOLLYWOOD star Will Smith and comedian Chris Rock have been offered £10million to face off in a boxing fight following their altercation at the Oscars.

The actor slapped Rock in the face in front of a worldwide audience on Sunday night after the stand-up made a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett.

Rock said: “Jada, I love you, G. I. Jane 2, can’t wait to see it.”

And the pair have now been handed the chance to settle their feud in the ring.

Celebrity boxing promoters Boxstar have put forward a bid of £10m to stage the fight on April 30.

It would take place on a card which is also set to feature Manchester United legend Patrice Evra.

Boxstar Managing Director, Darren Lamb, said: “Will Smith vs Chris Rock has the potential to be the biggest fight of the year, if not the century, so what better way to settle their differences than at a packed O2 Arena on April 30.

“At Boxstar, we specialise in allowing celebrities the opportunity to put on a pair of gloves and squash their beef in the right way, in a boxing ring, and we would be honoured to put on this fight.

“With £10m on the table and a 50/50 purse split, we hope they take us up on the offer and give the fans what they want.”

Former Man Utd full-back Evra will be fighting on the undercard but his opponent is yet to be announced.

And another clash attracting interest is the headline fight between bodybuilders Martyn Ford and The Iranian Hulk.

Meanwhile, UFC boss Dana White said Rock ‘has a chin’ following Smith’s shock slap.

He tweeted: “FINALLY!!!!! there’s an #Oscars show worth watching. AND @chrisrock has a chin.”

YouTuber-turned prizefighter Jake Paul, 25, added: “Someone get me on the phone with Will Smiths boxing representative asap.”
